Nestled in the hills of East Tennessee, Norris Lake is a favorite spot for peaceful paddling and lakeside exploration. To make your visit easy, we now offer three ways to rent:

Self-Serve Kiosk: For spontaneous trips, rent kayaks & paddleboards instantly from our on-site kiosk.
- Open daily, 8 AM – 7 PM.
- All boats must be returned by 7 PM.
Reserve in Advance: Guarantee availability by reserving your kayak or paddleboard ahead of time through our kiosk system.
Call or Email: Contact us to confirm availability, staffed rentals, or additional rental options.

Self-Serve Kiosk Instructions at Norris Lake

No staff? No problem! Our Norris Lake location now offers a self-serve rental kiosk — perfect for quick, spontaneous paddling trips.

How it works on-site:

SELF-SERVE RENTAL STEPS:

1. Book online at riverrunoutfitterstn.com

(Follow the link to Peek).

2 Choose your start time and duration.

3. Enter a cell phone number for your group

(Your access codes and instructions will be texted to you).

4. Unlock the equipment shed for paddles and life vests (code provided in text).

5. Unlock your kayak or SUP at the blue rack on the dock.

6. Re-lock any boats not being used.

7. Return boat and equipment to its original location when finished.

8. Lock everything back up before leaving.

24 HOUR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE IN USE.

• Single Kayaks, Tandem Kayaks & Stand Up Paddleboards Only
Hours: Daily, 8 AM – 7 PM (all boats must be returned by 7 PM).

Norris Lake – Spring Hours:

Self-Serve Kiosk:
- Kayaks & paddleboards available everyday from sunup to sundown.
- Last boat must be returned before dark per Norris Lake rules.
Staffed Rentals:
- Not fully staffed until Summer. Call, text, or email with questions, options, and availability.
  Full inventory available — including kayaks, SUP, canoes, water bikes, and pedal boats.
- If you prefer to book ahead, please call to confirm availability first.
